Poznan is one of the oldest cities in Poland, settled on the bank of the river Warta and capital of the region known as Greater Poland. More than one thousand people live in its metropolitan area, one of the country’s biggest centres for commerce, industry, sports, education, technology, tourism and culture.
Experts’ estimations show that Poland will create 100,000 new jobs in the service and new technologies sectors. Poznan is already showing its credentials to convince many investors to choose this city to install their businesses. Amongst the noteworthy enterprises located in Poznan is Allegro, one of the most important online auction sites, who chose the Pixel Businesspark to settle its offices.
The estate is made up of five buildings. The development of the first one was finished in 2012 and has got a built up area of 33,000 square metres. In order to limit electric energy consumption, the architecture team, JEMS Architekci Ltd, gave priority to energy efficiency and sustainability in all spaces. To do so, the façade was designed to allow the maximum amount of light to penetrate the building. URSA GLASSWOOL TEP was the chosen insulating material. These mineral wool panels, noncombustible, non-laminated and permeable, are usually used in ceiling insulation, owing to outstanding acoustic insulating properties, minimising sounds from steps and other noises.
