Advancing Our Decarbonization Goals
An ambitious target : reduce the intensity of our CO2 emissions by 35% compared to 2018 by 2030.
At URSA, we are aware that climate change will increasingly impact the construction sector and our activities. Temperature fluctuations, changes in precipitation, and more frequent extreme weather events are all part of this reality. To address these risks, the sector aims to help achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement and become fully carbon neutral by 2050.
Our target is ambitious:
Reduce the intensity of our CO2 emissions by 35% compared to 2018 by 2030 and as part of Etex we have signed up to Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a UN process to further our decarbonisation ambitions.
Further resources allocated to our dedicated corporate department to drive energy efficiency initiatives company-wide.
Implementing measures to optimize energy consumption, upgrade equipment with efficient technologies, and recover energy within facilities.
Expanding and enhancing infrastructure to closely monitor and manage energy performance.
Introducing new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess and continuously improve plant energy efficiency.
Installing photovoltaic panels on production site rooftops to harness renewable solar energy.
Increasing the procurement of renewable energy to minimize reliance on fossil fuels.

At URSA, our CSR approach involves initiatives that go beyond profitability, focusing on positive contributions to society, the environment, and our stakeholders.
Circular economy is ingrained in our DNA, and at URSA we demonstrate this every day. We work with recycled materials to produce glass wool and XPS.
