Advancing Our Decarbonization Goals

Advancing Our Decarbonization Goals

An ambitious target : reduce the intensity of our CO2 emissions by 35% compared to 2018 by 2030.

At URSA, we are aware that climate change will increasingly impact the construction sector and our activities. Temperature fluctuations, changes in precipitation, and more frequent extreme weather events are all part of this reality. To address these risks, the sector aims to help achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement and become fully carbon neutral by 2050.

Our target is ambitious:
Reduce the intensity of our CO2 emissions by 35% compared to 2018 by 2030 and as part of Etex we have signed up to Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a UN process to further our decarbonisation ambitions.

Our plants: delivering quality with a commitment to sustainability

URSA operates across Europe with 11 factories in over 40 countries, supported by an optimized production process that ensures high-quality output while minimizing environmental impact.

Significantly reducing the carbon footprint of our plants requires a collective effort and several key elements: electrifying processes, utilizing green energy, and adopting innovative technologies. Together with industry stakeholders, URSA plants are advancing toward more sustainable production processes, reinforcing our role as a responsible leader in insulation.

ESG & CSR approach

At URSA, our CSR approach involves initiatives that go beyond profitability, focusing on positive contributions to society, the environment, and our stakeholders.

Embracing Circular Economy

Circular economy is ingrained in our DNA, and at URSA we demonstrate this every day. We work with recycled materials to produce glass wool and XPS.
