Description
The athlete's village for the Paris 2024 was located 7 km north of the Paris central business district in the communes of Saint-Denis, L'Île-Saint-Denis and Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, with many areas along the banks of the Seine river. The compact village was conveniently located, with all athletes able to train at a venue less than 20 minutes away) .In July 2024 , URSA successfully provided over 6,000 m² of #URSA TERRA Facade 32 R in the heart of this community, ensuring optimal thermal comfort for future residents. A2 Groupe is proud to have built the façades at its Le Havre factory. For this project, the architects turned to the InnoA® A3 system, with its invisibly fixed cassettes and slats in 10/10 steel in three colours. Spread over the 3 municipalities of Saint-Denis, Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine and Île-Saint-Denis, the village greeted some 14,500 athletes and their staff during the Olympic Games, and 9,000 athletes and their staff during the Paralympic Games. In addition to providing an optimal welcome for the athletes, the complex has been designed to be environmentally exemplary, and will become a genuine new district once the Games are over (6,000 homes, shops, offices, green spaces, etc.). This incredible construction not only served as accommodation during 2024 summer games in Paris, but will also be transformed into residential buildings for private individuals once completed.
